Introduction to the Council
The Scientific Council was established in the University on the academic year 1431/1430
by the University Council at its first meeting held on 1431/2/29 e, 2010/2/13 m, due to the importance and vital role of the Council on Scientific Affairs supervision of faculty members, research and graduate studies, publications and other scientific issues that are detailed in the system of higher education Council and Universities regulations. Major tasks can be summarized of the Scientific Council to take action on the recommendation of the appointment and promotion decisions, scientific publishing, scientific leave, scientific sessions, the use of part-time professors, and other related issues.

The Scientific Council at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University senses the importance of the role entrusted to it in supervising the scientific affairs of faculty members and the affairs of research, studies and publishing, and from this point of view, the Scientific Council seeks to provide all the reasons leading to increasing the effectiveness of faculty members and motivating them to excel in the fields of teaching, scientific research and service to the university and society, and works hard to play this role to the fullest, accompanied by the university's vision in achieving global leadership and excellence in building a knowledge society.
