The Scientific Council at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University senses the importance of the role entrusted to it in supervising the scientific affairs of faculty members and the affairs of research, studies and publishing, and from this point of view, the Scientific Council seeks to provide all the reasons leading to increasing the effectiveness of faculty members and motivating them to excel in the fields of teaching, scientific research and service to the university and society, and works hard to play this role to the fullest, accompanied by the university's vision in achieving global leadership and excellence in building a knowledge society. The Council also seeks to select qualified and distinguished competencies from Saudi cadres to join Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University by studying the files of applicants for appointment at the university, and the Council also participates in spreading the culture of excellence in scientific research and providing opportunities that motivate faculty members at the university to achieve it through promotion regulations and sabbatical programs, encouraging attendance at training courses and local and international conferences, and submitting research and working papers in them. At the level of publishing scientific, translated and verified books, the Council's vision is focused on the need for published books to be at a high level from a scientific point of view and to be a real addition to the scientific library through careful evaluation and specialized arbitration of those books.
